We are looking to onboard a developer, within a newly formed technology team in GRC. This candidate will ultimately be responsible for the successful and timely implementation of CIRA projects delegated to them by the Team Lead and CIRA's CTO. This candidate will also be responsible for coming up with creative, scalable and technical solutions around data storage (database solutions) and associated (web / desktop) front ends for dashboard or reporting functionality.
Types of projects include, but are not limited to:
- Building a flexible front end to use for dashboard/reporting purposes around readership data
- HTML solutions for our global analyst community (HTML templates) that can integrate into our Citi production environment
- Ad-hoc client requests, often to tight deadlines
· Bachelors/Masters in Information Technology (B Tech, M tech) or Computer Applications (MCA)
· Technology experience (3-5 years) in finding solutions to Research specific problems
· Strong writing skills (good at structuring the report and articulating the key findings); Ability to synthesise ideas in clear, logical, and precise written English
Skills
· Technologies - .ASP.Net, ADO.Net
· Languages – C#
· Database Technologies – Oracle /SQL Server
· Scripting Technologies – Javascript
· Good Exposure to XML, XSL, XSD, XQuery, XPath
· Others – Ajax, WPF, WCF, Strong OOP Fundamentals
· Understanding of VSTO/VBA preferred but not required.
· Good Exposure to IIS 6 and above and other web servers
· HTML development skills required (e.g. Dreamweaver, but can be another product/HTML language)
· The candidate should be a pragmatic "self starter" - someone who can work both independently if CTO is unavailable or traveling as well as part of a team.
· Strong interpersonal skills for dealing with companies and overseas colleagues.
· Strong project management skills
· Ability to work under pressure, with minimal supervision, and in a team environment.
· Good communication and analytical skills
· Ability to provide database solutions/consolidation ideas to existing infrastructure and new initiatives
