Indiana Jones and the Khanjar of Khalid
Location: Al Fahidi Fort, Bastikiya

The Pitch: It's 1956 and Indiana Jones must find a long-lost khanjar dagger imbued with supernatural powers to stop it getting into the hands of the Russian KGB, who are in the country disguised as a troupe of touring Cossack dancers. While exploring a maze of secret tunnels beneath the city fort, Indy and his intrepid Chinese sidekick Tall (formerly Short) Round are caught by the Russians and left to die a horrible death in a scorpion-infested pit. Help comes in the form of a courageous local hero who rescues Indy, and together they find the dagger and vanquish the hapless Russians, thus scoring an early Cold War victory.

Wall Street 4: End Game
Location: DIFC

The Pitch: After having reconciled with his daughter at the end of the last film, Gordon Gekko is content playing the doting grandfather. Until he gets a call from the new DIFC governor who needs Gecko to help investigate a sinister cartel involved in gross financial irregularities in the Gulf markets. The braces and slicked back hair return as Gekko turns up at Dubai's financial district. The DIFC governor is played by Ben Kingsley.

IRON MAN: The Abu Dhabi Protocol
Location: IDEX Abu Dhabi

The Pitch: Tony Stark's Stark Industries is one of the exhibitors at Abu Dhabi's defence exhibition IDEX 2011. Now married to Pepper Potts, a sober Stark wants to invest aggressively in the Middle East market and is schmoozing with the region's bigwigs as he unveils Stark Industries' new all-terrain assault vehicles. That's when a ghost from his past returns. Whiplash's brother Yuri Vanko, now head of the Russian mob in Moscow, decides that it's time somebody from the Stark family paid back for crimes committed against the Vankos. The Yas Hotel is the stage for a thrilling climax as Iron Man attempts to save Vanko from murdering Pepper and the rest of the guests held hostage there.

The Bourne Tranquility
Location: Spice and textile souks

The Pitch: Jason Bourne, still on the run from sinister CIA off-shoot, Treadstone, is now living the quiet life in Dubai where he designs Power Point presentations for local businesses and is known by his unsuspecting neighbours as Malcolm Smith. The movie begins with a low-octane abra chase along the entire length of the creek, after a CIA assassin discovers Bourne's whereabouts. Bourne escapes by hiding amongst the flamingos in Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary. Forced to go deep undercover once more and unable to leave the country via the airport, he flees the UAE by secreting himself aboard a dodgy Somalian dhow.
